Ecuador export requirements

The Ecuador-side file starts with the legal exporter and a declaration matched to the commercial shipment.

  • Export declaration tied to the invoice and packing list
  • Certificate of origin where applicable
  • Agrocalidad phytosanitary certification for regulated plant products
  • ICO certificate of origin for coffee where applicable

US import requirements for coffee and cacao

Food entries require agency and customs data to be settled before arrival, with some information due before vessel loading.

  • Applicable FDA Food Facility Registration for the foreign facility
  • Named FSVP importer and program responsibilities
  • FDA Prior Notice before the food is offered for import
  • Importer Security Filing for ocean cargo before loading
  • Customs bond, HTS classification, and entry filing
  • Country-of-origin marking and USDA/APHIS plant-health review where applicable

Finished craft goods still require precise descriptions and retail labeling appropriate to the article.

Our role

Exponential Labs assembles supplier, product, commercial, and routing data; coordinates Ecuador export records; and prepares the shipment packet. US customs entry and any broker-only filing are made by the importer or its appointed licensed customs broker. The buyer provides its legal importer data, FSVP designation where applicable, destination requirements, and approvals. The quote records any different allocation before order confirmation.
